If you are planning on getting wed in Asheville check out The Ridge and Chateau in Marshall, NC. It’s hard to beat the mountain views at The Ridge, and The Chateau is a reception space unique to this area. The top notch owners and staff always knock it out of the park! Jami and Joey got married here in May of this year and we adored working with them. They referred to each other a few times as Jon Snow and the Queen of Dragons. This was before the Game of Thrones series finale though, and we haven’t followed up with them on this issue…
This wedding is an example of how rain can be a good thing on your wedding day. Of course no one wants the ceremony to get rained on (they had a tent!) but once the rain clears there can be beautiful light and moody skies. We bring 2 clear umbrellas for the bride and groom when rain is in the forecast. If you have a large wedding party you could order a bunch of them just in case! We tell clients not to fret if there is a 30%-50% chance of rain in the Asheville area. Around here that could easily mean it won’t rain.
