Frequently Asked Questions

Sunset wedding photoHow do I inquire about your availability?
Visit our contact page and fill out the form :)

What are your prices for weddings?
Pricing varies depending on location and coverage. Get in touch with us and we’ll be happy to email you our full price guide. On average our clients spend $3300-4500 on their wedding photography.

How do we book you?
We require a non-refundable retainer fee + a signed contract to secure your date. It’s a simple process and the contract is all online so you don’t need a fax machine.

Where will you travel to photograph weddings?
Anywhere! We are based in North Carolina but will go all over.

Do you photograph elopements?
Yes! We can photograph elopements on weekdays (Monday-Thursday). You can book us for a weekend elopement if it is less than 45 days out and we don’t already have a wedding booked that day.

How would you describe your shooting style?
Vibrant, modern, eye-catching. We take a photojournalistic approach in documenting your wedding. We let the day unfold without interfering or interrupting the flow too much. The times we do step in and direct are during bride + groom and family portraits — and we love doing those! We are also completely happy taking spontaneous posed photos during the reception if you ask us. The bottom line is that we are there for you.

How would you describe your processing style?
The best thing to do is browse our photos to get a sense of our editing. We aim to edit your photos so that in 10-20 years you’ll still appreciate them.

When will our wedding photos be ready to view?
We post your photos in an online, password-protected gallery 6 weeks after your wedding. You can share the link with friends and family, too.

How many photos will we get from our wedding?
It depends on hours of coverage, but typically we deliver 400-700 quality photos from a single wedding.

Do we get digital copies of the photos?
Yes, you will receive and pin # so you can download the hi-res images

Do you edit the photos?
Yes, we edit all the images in your collection. This includes adjustments like brightness/contrast, tone, color and temperature. Part of the joy of photography is processing the photos.

What if you haven’t photographed my venue before?
Not a problem. It’s great if we’ve shot at your wedding venue before, but it really doesn’t matter if we haven’t :) We typically show up early on your wedding day to get a sense of the space.

What is “Fête”?
It’s a French word for a celebration or festival, pronounced ‘fet’ (like ‘set’ but with an F)

Can we print the images ourselves?
Yes, you do have printing rights. We recommend ordering from our pro printing lab to ensure the prints look as we intend them to.

Can we post the photos to Facebook or Instagram?
Yes, they are your images and we just ask that you post them “as is” and don’t add crazy filters. If you feel like crediting us that is much appreciated.

Do you have business insurance?
Yes, we do.

What camera equipment do you use?
Nikon mirrorless cameras (z6ii) and lots of nice lenses. Some of our favorites are the Nikon 24mm, 50mm, and 85mm 1.8 S lenses.

Do you shoot film?
We have a medium format Rolleiflex camera we use for fun sometimes, but we don’t bring it to weddings. We find digital more flexible and efficient for weddings.
