How do I inquire about your availability?
Visit our contact page and fill out the form :)
What are your prices for weddings?
Pricing varies depending on location and coverage. We want to hear about your wedding so please get in touch with us and we’ll be happy to email you our full price guide. On average our clients spend $3500-4200 on their wedding day coverage.
How do we book you?
We require a non-refundable retainer fee + a signed contract to secure your date. It’s a super simple process and the contract is all online so you don’t need a fax machine.
Where are you based?
In Asheville, North Carolina. We have lived in the Asheville area for about 18 years.
Do you travel?
Absolutely! All over. Travel rates vary on location. We have passports and also travel internationally.
Do you photograph elopements?
Yes! We can photograph elopements on weekdays (Monday-Thursday). You can book us for a weekend elopement if it is less than 45 days out and we don’t already have a wedding booked that day.
How would you describe your shooting style?
Vibrant, modern, eye-catching. We take a photojournalistic approach in documenting your wedding. We let the day unfold without interfering or interrupting the flow too much. The times we do step in and direct are during bride + groom and family portraits — and we love doing those! We are also completely happy taking spontaneous posed photos during the reception if you ask us. The bottom line is that we are there for you.
How would you describe your processing style?
Colorful + bold. The best thing to do is browse our photos to get a sense of our editing approach. We aim to edit your photos so that in 10-20 years you’ll still appreciate them. #noregrets
When will our wedding photos be ready to view?
We post your photos in an online, password-protected gallery 6 weeks after your wedding. You can freely share the link with friends and family, too.
How many photos will we get from our wedding?
It depends on hours of coverage, but typically we deliver 400-700 quality photos from a single wedding.
Do we get digital copies of the photos?
Yes, you will receive and pin # so you can download the hi-res images all at once
Do you edit the photos?
Yes, we edit all the images in your collection ourselves. This includes adjustments like brightness/contrast, tone, color and temperature. We don’t send your images to another company to be edited because we want total control of how they look from start to finish. Part of the joy of photography is processing the photos.
What if you haven’t photographed my venue before?
Not a problem. Last year we shot at 15 venues where it was our first time there. We typically show up early on your wedding day to get a sense of the space and ambiance.
What is “Fête”?
It’s a French word for a celebration or festival, pronounced ‘fet’ (like ‘set’ but with an F)
Can I email you my Pinterest board of shots I want you to get?
Well… really we want to create portraits that are fresh and unique to you. The stars align when you trust us and don’t go into a session or wedding with pre-determined shots in mind.
Can we print the images ourselves?
Yes, you do have printing rights, but we recommend ordering from our pro printing lab to ensure the prints look as we intend them to.
Can we post the photos to Facebook?
Yes! They are your images and we just ask that you post them “as is” and don’t add crazy filters or manipulate the photos. If you feel like crediting us that is much appreciated.
Do you have business insurance?
Yes, we do.
What camera equipment do you use?
Professional Nikon cameras (D850) and lenses. We prefer shooting with prime lenses. Some of our favorites are the Nikon 24mm 1.4, Sigma ART 50mm 1.4, Nikon 45mm tilt shift, and Nikon 85mm 1.4.
Do you shoot film?
We have a medium format Rolleiflex camera we use for fun sometimes, but we don’t bring it to weddings. If you really want us to it would be an additional charge. But we think you’ll be a-okay with our versatile digital cameras ;)
Are you two married?
Yes, happily married since 2012 :)
Have another question that’s not listed? We are happy to answer any questions you have about us, the process, and your wedding!
