Krista and Jonathan’s Black Mountain, NC wedding was a joy to photograph. Black Mountain is a beautiful area outside of Asheville. The groomsmen started off at Lake Tomahawk with some portraits that included Jonathan’s favorite beverage, Cheerwine — a North Carolina classic! It’s always awesome having a groom that’s so willing and eager to take pictures throughout the day. We spent a lot of quality time on portraits with these two, including a lovely session in Montreat following the reception. Montreat is one of our favorites places to hang out, walk our dog, and enjoy nature.

Krista had R. Brooke Priddy of Ship to Shore alter the top of her dress to include parts of her mother’s wedding dress. After her first visit to the shop Krista was about to leave when Brooke quickly came outside to give her something. She had found a piece of rice stuck in her mother’s wedding dress from the 1970s. How neat is that?! Throwing rice is a trend that has lost steam, so we thought that was a special blast from the past. Take a moment to enjoy the photos!
