Last week we posted our Best Wedding Portraits of 2015, now it's time for the best moments. One of our favorite aspects of wedding photography is capturing raw emotion that happens naturally. We live for these moments during a wedding and when they happen it's pure gold.
2015 was an exceptional year for us. We still have weddings to feature on our blog from this past year, but we want to ring in 2016 with Year in Review posts featuring our best wedding photos. Some of the images you've seen, and some are fresh. Narrowing down our favorites is a daunting task because our couple's are so fantastic! There were many awesome moments and po[...]
Shae + Doc had a beautiful North Carolina Arboretum wedding in May. These two creative cuties love design and art, craft beer, and their adorable daschund Stewy. As dog people ourselves, we were glad he was able to attend the wedding (in style we might add)! Sunny weather and a verdant venue make for a perfect destination wedding in Asheville. But a bride and groom's[...]
Jennie and Andy had an epic destination wedding at Crest Center & Pavilion in Asheville, NC. The impeccable design was by planner Weddings with Tara, florist Two Buds and a Blossom, and Ruth & Ranshaw, who crafted the cake and yummy sweet treats! It's always a thrill to photograph Jewish wedding traditions such as the breaking of the glass, the Hora, and Ketub[...]
"Hello". No, that's not Adele crooning, it's us, the artists still known as Derek + Kristi aka Fete Photography! 2015 has been an exceptional year. We just wrapped up our last wedding of the season and now it's time to hop back on the blog train and show off our beautiful clients' celebrations. We're incredibly blessed to have added 30 new couples to the Fête family t[...]
This adorable couple had their destination wedding at the Brevard Music Center in western North Carolina. The venue hosts numerous musical events throughout the year and is located on 180 acres nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Mac and Garrett traveled to Brevard during their college years to attend many concerts and fell in love with the scenery and smal[...]
We adore this bride and groom. Katie and Ryan had a Highland Brewing Company wedding in Asheville. Our city loves its local breweries and beer is a big attraction to many who visit and live here. Aside from being really good-looking, these two are so kindhearted and a joy to be around. It was a privilege to photograph their love and affection for each other! Katie and[...]
Kathryn and Hayden visit Asheville often and they love the urban vibe of the River Arts District. The Wedge Brewery Co. also has special meaning to them. So of course that's where we did their engagement session. There are so many great textures and colors to work with, plus this couple is adorable. We cannot wait to shoot their wedding in Atlanta this summer!
Desirea & Travis got married on a gorgeous spring day in April at Fontaine Vineyards in Marshall, North Carolina. This wedding is replete with adorable DIY details from the hand-painted book covers and centerpieces on each table to the floral arrangements and flower crown adorned by the bride. We especially love the wooden cake topper Desirea painted herself!
Emily and Brad had a destination wedding at Biltmore Estate in Asheville. We love getting to work with clients who travel to our hometown to get married. Which is quite a few :)This fetching couple chose Biltmore's Champagne Cellar for their ceremony and reception. They incorporated wine into the theme by using an actual wine bottle as their guest book! The custom[...]
