A summer wedding at Union Grove Barn in Chapel Hill has a kind of magic you can’t fake. Melana and Alex were married in front of friends and family from all over the world. And the whole day felt easy in the best way — warm air, lovely light, and guests who were genuinely happy to be present. We snuck away to the pond after the ceremony, and it might have been my favorite part of the day! The couple couldn’t stop laughing among the willow trees and, of course, on the swing in the woods. If there is a swing nearby on your wedding day I advise taking advantage of it :)
The ceremony and reception were both inside the barn and the energy shifted to full-on celebration once the dance floor opened up. There was so much joy in the air that my face hurt from smiling. What I loved most was how personal everything felt. Two people, deeply in love, stepping into marriage with a whole community around them. An Event to Remember lived up to their name and did an amazing job with all the planning and decor.
