Blogging takes us time. Picking the photos is usually the easy part, but then we have to come up with words (we are not writers), SEO for Google, find all the vendors involved and link to them (not a requirement, though we gladly do it), format the images for web, upload them, organize them, etc. There are probably over 40 weddings we still need to feature. Blogging takes a backseat when we have client photos to edit + deliver and albums to design. Clients are always our top priority!
We typically choose 25 of our favorites images to represent a wedding. That’s less than 5% of all the images we deliver from a single wedding. We don’t include a lot of detail shots (rings, flowers, signs) to display our photography in a succinct post, but of course we take detail photos and include them in our clients’ collections. We also happily share our images with other vendors so they can use them on their websites and social media. We grew up watching Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood, so we definitely know about being kind and sharing. Haha.
