Tracie + Eric picked awesome venues for their wedding. The ceremony was held at Chapel of Rest, a quaint little church in Lenoir, NC. It’s a picturesque scene that could be in Little House on the Prairie. It might be a little too perfect for Deadwood… The reception followed at Fort Defiance and we had a blast using the texture of the old house for portraits, as well as the lovely field nearby. Portraits were important to them so they made sure to schedule time during golden hour for bride + groom photos. Hooray! We tell every client that lighting (aka the sun) dictates a lot of what we do on wedding days and photo shoots — especially specific locations and posing you. We can take portraits in the midday sun, but it’s generally prettier and more flattering when the sun is at an angle and not right above you. We hope you love all the photos, thanks for stopping by!
